Health Services

The goal of School Nurses is to promote optimal wellness in order to enhance a student's ability to learn.
School Nurses also provide information and training to faculty and staff.


Information for Parents and Students

  • Please review your child's Certificate of Immunization to make sure it is up to date. 
  • Parents of students in grades 6-12 should pay close attention to information about the meningococcal (meningitis) vaccine.
  • The best way to prevent Zika and other diseases transmitted by mosquitoes is to prevent mosquito bites!  Check out the link below for additional information.
  • Influenza "the flu" can be serious. 
  • Cleaning/Disinfecting Tips-Find out more about the flu and how to prevent it from the links below.
  • A School Medication Prescriber/Parent Authorization must be on file with the School Nurse for every medication on the school campus.  You will find it under "forms" on this page.

At Chilton County Schools, our dedicated team of 18 school nurses serves students across 15 campuses, playing a vital role in promoting student well-being and maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment. Specializing in school-based healthcare, our nurses provide a wide range of services, including direct care, health screenings, medication administration, health education, and coordination with families and healthcare providers. Their work helps prevent illness and injury while supporting the overall physical and emotional health of our students.
