🤝 Chilton County High School (CCHS) strives to be a School of Character. Therefore, CCHS has two teams that are attending the Hope Institute this year. Along with sharing character ed during morning announcements, we are building off our slogan “All In.” Each letter represents a character trait that we want our students and faculty/staff to adopt. The letters stand for: Accountability, Loyalty, Leadership, Integrity, and Non-Judgemental.
🏐 The CCHS Volleyball Team are the 6A Area Champs and played in the Regionals in Montgomery on Thursday, October 23. We are proud of their accomplishments, commitment, and dedication to their sport. Playing as a team and demonstrating sportsmanship has been a highlight for our spectators.
🎶 The CCHS Band under the leadership of new Band Director Nathan Sanderson performed recently at the Marbury Marching Competition where they received an Overall 1. Head Football Coach Merritt Bowden and other coaches attended this band competition showing their ‘ALL IN’ passion. Their attendance made all the band students and parents extremely happy.
🧑🏻💻 In order for all students to receive CCR credential, we are providing Skid Steer, ServSafe, and Customer Service programs through our FACAS and FFA classes. The students are excited about this opportunity to get training and experience in fields which will help them obtain jobs when they finish high school.
🎭 The McKee Auditorium provides the County with various programs such as beauty pageants, plays, and the Blast from the Past. Since thousands of participants come to our auditorium, the Board of Education and Maintenance assisted in renovating the look of the lobby. It now has fresh paint and has two video boards which gives it the appearance of a state of the arts facility.
💙 The CCHS SGA is doing remarkable community service projects such as a blood drive, Camp Smile-A-Mile, collecting cans for food drives, and assisting with football games and Little League games. Our students try hard to help and attend a lot of activities while being excellent role models for younger students in our school system.
